SUPPLIES NEEDED:
- Chalkboard - the
one shown here is 10" x 7"
- Chalk
- Gold paint pen
- White latex paint
- Small paint brush
(1") or foam applicator
- SMH0009 Folk Angel
Stencil
- Spill Proof® stencil paint in the following colors:
- MSP01009 Colonial Golde
- MSP01013 Evergreen
- MSP01017 White
- MSP01018 Cranberry
- Stencil brushes

INSTRUCTIONS: If
your chalkboard has a wooden frame, paint it with the white
latex paint. Position the SMH0009
Folk Angel Stencil and tape it down. Note: You may want to trim
the stencil so it can lay flat within the frame. Stencil the
design in white first and let it dry. While the white is drying,
stipple the outer edge of the frame with MSP01013 Evergreen
and the inner edge of the frame with MSP01009 Colonial Golde.
When the white underpainting is dry, stencil the angel. Use
MSP01017 White all over. Stencil MSP0109 Colonial Golde on the
wings, halo, hair, inner edges of the star on the dress and
on the star in the corner. Very lightly stencil the dress with
MSP01018 Cranberry. With shading this color can range from a
pretty pink to deep cranberry color. Stencil the eyes, dress
trim and shoes with MSP01013 Evergreen.
Use the paint pen to write the words. Hint: if you place a piece
of tracing paper over the chalkboard, you can practice your
writing and check the positioning of the words before you touch
the finished piece. |
