Product Specifications:

Our 48" Handicap Parking Stencil is available in two thicknesses: 1/8" and 1/16" thick, each thickness is tailored for different stenciling project needs. The thicker 1/8" option provides enhanced durability, resisting paint buildup and maintaining a flat surface over extended use. It is the ideal thickness for contractors and facility managers who frequently reuse this stencil and need a more durable solution. The 1/16" thickness, is thinner and more flexible and while also durable and reusable, is better suited for less frequent reuse and heavy wear.  

What is the differences of the 1/16th inch and 1/8th inch LLDPE?

The simple difference is that the thickness is double so the stencil is a heavier and stiffer stencil.  There are two benefits:

1.  As you use the stencils paint will build on the stencil. as the paint dries it will shrink and impart stresses on the stencil which will curl it.  Once the paint is cleaned off, the stencil will again lay flat.  The 1/8th stencil resists this and can be used for more lines prior to requiring cleaning.

1/8th inch (125 mil) LLDPE: Our Contractor Grade material makes a durable, reusable, precision stencil that can be used hundreds of times. Lays Flat and is heavy enough to be used with professional spray equipment.

1/16th inch (60 mil) LLDPE:  Our Standard Duty material has all the qualities of our Contractor Grade at half the weight. The lighter weight and lower price point is a great option for the non-professional. Can be used dozens of times and can be cleaned and stored for future maintenance.

10 mil Mylar: Our Laser-cut Mylar is an ultra-light flexible material that is perfect for signs, walls, floors, and tight work spaces. We also offer it as a low-cost option for school playground and athletic fields stencils. This flexible material and budget friendly price give you a lot of options.
